Book Review: Colors of Love An inspirational Coloring Book

About the book:

"Give thanks to the Lord, because he is good; his love is eternal."--1 Chronicles 16:34
Being creative is one of the ways we reflect the image of God. Colors of Love not only provides you with creative inspiration but also offers a fun and relaxing way to reduce stress and renew your strength. It's filled with beautiful pictures that celebrate God's unending love and inspiring Scripture verses on the theme of love. Color these any time you need encouragement and display them anywhere you need a reminder of the love of God.

My Reflections:
I was so excited to order this adult coloring book for review. I have done many in the past and been so thrilled with the beauty and intricacy of the coloring samples.

Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the quality of this particular book.  The coloring pages are very basic and plain. The lines are bold, and there is no challenge to the pattern and design of the coloring pages. The pictures do not fit the pages, there is mostly a small picture with a lot of white space around it. Perhaps this is to journal, or just doodle? It just feels like it is geared for a much young audience.

I did, however, enjoy that it included scripture, but unfortunately even those are very basic in nature, I was hoping for an "inspirational" type adult coloring book, but sadly this one did not meet my expectations.

If you are looking for a coloring book for your children, this may be an excellent fit. I don't usually give negative reviews, but I can't say I'm a fan of this one.

Book Review: Words Of Grace A Coloring Book Devotional

Be Amazed by God's Grace!Bring new joy to your time in God's Word by incorporating beauty and creativity. As a gentle tonic for the busyness and worries of your life, this travel-sized coloring book devotional will help you focus your attention and calm your hurried soul.

Each page spread includes Scripture, devotional thoughts, and images to color that are all designed to reconnect you with the God who knows your every need. Grab your colored pencils, crayons, or markers and set yourself free to create. But most importantly: relax, have fun, and be blessed by God's grace.
My Reflections:

I adore this little coloring book! Not only is it fun and relaxing but it also includes a pretty fantastic devotional. Coloring and pondering our Gods blessings and grace.. what a great way to pass the time! I have to admit my teenager loves them more than I do, so she usually gets to these before I do.

Oftentimes I finally get to sit down between homeschooling, homesteading and running a business to find the book is already colored in and well loved. Here is an example of day 1 "God's Awesome Love" The girl got to it before me..again!
You have to admit she has a talent for coloring!

So if you are looking for an uplifting, inspiring and creative way to ponder Gods words of grace, look no further this little book is the one for you!

Book Review: Live Fearless An Adult Coloring Book

From The Back:

PRAY • CREATE • MEMORIZE • REFLECT • JOURNAL
What if?Life is riddled with uncertainty. Perhaps that's why Jesus is so passionate in His command, "Do not fear." He challenges us to enter uncertainty with faith, the unknown with trust, the uncharted with hope.

Live Fearless provides an opportunity for you to pull away from the hustle and bustle of life to pray, journal, and unleash your creative gifts and rediscover the goodness and faithfulness of God no matter what you're facing.

· Spend time in prayer, reflecting and growing in your relationship with God
· Commit Bible passages to memory and deepen your faith
· Share your fun artistry with others through what you create

Color and doodle and learn to live fearless as you craft God's Word into your heart.
My Reflections:
Adult coloring books are a big seller right now, but with the variety and selection on the market today it can be tricky to choose the right one. I found it to be delightful to create beautiful art with faith as my focus, especially one that is about living free of fear!
This is the second coloring book I have reviewed by Margret Feinberg, and I am thrilled to say my teen aged daughter and I love to sit together doodling and coloring theses intricate designs.
Some of the art you will discover inside this book features waves, flowers, birds, hearts, lions and more. Every page has a verse about living fearless and a place to notebook, pray and reflect. How wonderful to start your day with the bible some coloring and some time praying and reflecting on God's promises and love!
I love that as my daughter and I sit together we are chatting about God's love, his scriptures are being imprinted on our hearts and our time is filled with fun and is rewarding at the same time!
If you are looking for an adult coloring book that is filled with God's promises, beautiful pictures and a place to reflect on those scriptures this may just be the coloring book for you! Who says adults are too old to color?
