From The Back:
FBI Behavioral Analyst Kaely Quinn's methods may be highly unorthodox, but her talent is undeniable. She's done her best to establish a new life for herself after being demoted and transferred to St. Louis when a reporter revealed she's the daughter of an infamous serial killer. But when that same reporter claims to have received an anonymous poem predicting a string of murders, ending with Kaely's, it seems her old life has followed her.
When a body is found that fits the poem's morbid predictions, Kaely and her new partner, Special Agent Noah Hunter, are forced to move past his skepticism of her approach and work together to unravel the deadly riddle.
With a brazen serial killer who breaks all the normal patterns on the loose, Noah and Kaely must race to catch the murderer before anyone else, including Kaely, is killed.

My Reflections:
Oh, this book! If you want something wildly different, extremely edgy this is the book for you! When I say edgy I mean, creepy, spooky and on the edge of your seat suspenseful.
I kept thinking I knew who done it and was thrown off a few times but was so happily satisfied with my instincts because my first guess ended up being correct.
This book is a hard one to review due to so many varied themes and not wanting to give away any key details. FBI Behavioural analyst Kaely Quinn has some unique ways to crawl into the realm of evil and darkness. I don't know how people are able to do this type of job, but Kaely seems to have the analytical and detachment to pull it off with amazing talent!
Her background and past trauma have moulded her personality into a well-oiled machine. I found her character incredibly interesting, I have never met or read about anyone quite like this character. That alone made me so fascinated. I want to delve into analyzing behaviour and reading body language, gah so interesting.
This book is so much more than a novel it makes you really think about life, people and why things happen! SO if you want a book that will keep your interest every page of the way this one is definitely it! I cannot wait for book two in this series.
